I now currently run Xoops for the main page of my site. As a matter of fact I'll be going to this permanently. Setup will occur over the next few days including icons, configuration, etc. I'll now be able to post blog entries, movie reviews, have a bulletin board, comments, the works, all in an easy to use package. It's highly recommended and, for me, moved past the limitations of movable type. I hope ya guys like it. If all goes well it will surpass this blog and this blog will stay here for archival purposes only (ie, no new content).
I'd love to hear what you guys think. Until I get this thing sorted out, email or comments in your own blogs are appreciated.

You know sometimes people's stupidity just amazes me.
But regardless, it's time to be happy because Ren and Stimpy will soon be back on the air with all new shows. How fucking cool is that?
Hmm...I think I've found my new web content manager. Hehehe....*evil scientist laugh here* You'll see it...soon..

Wowza, found this interesting tidibit (and its a shocker) about the upcoming Lion's Gate flick The Grey Zone about a bunch of holocaust prisoners who can kill their fellow 'mates to prolong their lives a few months (damn, what a concept). Just thought it would surprise. So Jeremy's put himself up for scientific testing. Sounds like a solid cash flow option to me (maybe I should go looking for something like that...you know, a little pain for $3k or so...the more pain involved the more cash, etc).
PHP is moving right along here at work. I officially have all of our forms, from Report Request Forms, Computer Problem Forms, and Miscellaneous Request Forms up and working successfully integrating PHP and MySQL. Inventory seems to be working perfectly as well, and I'll add Printer Inventory next. Arta (Loan program) loan file uploads seems to be running quite smoothly with the php ftp functions working just like they should.
Next on my plate is Web Browser Based Email. Again, thanks to my book things have gotten easier in regards to coding and whatnot. Of course the book is simply a guide, and more than that I run to my favorite PHP script sites (including, but limited to, Hotscripts). We'll see how it goes.
Lastly, remember the other day when I said I bought three albums? Well, the third was Counting Crows' latest, Hard Candy. On first listen, I'll just tell ya, I thought they had failed big time. I thought the songs were limp, the lyrics were dull, and the album was...not rushed, just incomplete. Well, on second listen the albums strengths are beginning to get the best of me, and I found myself singing a long to a lot of it. This record is one of those that has such deeply rooted melodies that you'll miss most of them on the first listen. I can imagine that, based on these two experiences, the third listen will only bring greater joy in the music. While there are still some songs I have a hard time listening to and/or appreciating, the majority of the record is very, very good and seems to just get better. More on this when I think of it.
Okay, off to code. Peace.

Well, more phone problems today. We changed the main menu but things are still looky shaky for the actual real improvement regarding how it was before voice mail to after. I need a loan and have applied for one. I'm hoping to God I get it or I'm screwed. I'll find out tomorrow.
I got the Sr. Vice Pres. Computers up and going on a DSL Router this evening. Turned out pretty well, and I'd happily do it again.
Otherwise, a little PHP progress, slowly but surely.
Glad to see Jeremy updating pretty regularly again. And hey, dig that homepage layout ;)

Hmm...so I've tried movabletype and found it...strange. It didn't really work like I expected it to and the entries I posted didn't show up. Also, the blogger import didn't work. So in the meantime I'll work with that on a different misterorange.com url/directory and see if I can get it running. If not, I'll just try something else later. There are dozens of web content management systems, and one of them is bound to fit right with what I'm doing.
Spent most of my day working out the kinks of our new voicemail phone system and all that that implies. Most of it was just setting up of each users greeting, name, and directory extention stuff. Nothing amazingly intricate, just a lot of phone menus. If you hate all that "press one to blah blah, press six to blah blah" you'd REALLY hate setting up that system. Strangest of all, or best of all, it turns out the system have an ethernet hookup that we haven't utilized. I asked Nick, the dude in charge of the phones, to hook it up but then I forgot about it (maybe he did as well) and it hasn't happened yet. We have an empty port down in the fax room where the phone system is currently located and I would love to use a web application to administrate it. I'm sure setting up the last name for each user would simply be to type it in, instead of having to use two digit codes for each letter. yeah, I'm not making that up.
Tried Radio Userland again. Damn, what the fuck is up with that? I really tried, I really did, I wanted to set it up running on both the machine here at home and work with uploading to the blog you see now. But NOoo, can't possibly come up with something that INTUITIVE. Grrr... maybe I'm just not installing it correctly...or something. That whole installing-as-a-webserver crap has to go. More on this if there IS more than this to it. Until then it's off to the great Uninstall applet in the sky (once again) for Radio.
Annie had two big highlights today. Firstly her belly button stump fell off. Yay! While it supposed to've come off when she was 4 weeks old, a 1.5 week delay isn't too bad. Secondly, thanks to the first highlight we got to give her her first bath this evening. It was fun :) And, amazingly enough, she was perfectly fine with it. Snorted a few times, whined a bit, but didn't cry. Washed her hair and all, no fuss. That was great. Afterwards we dried her off, bundled her up and snuggled her greatly. Sometimes having a kid is a Damn Great Thing. Just letting those Kidless folks know whatcha missin ;)
Hmm...well, its late. I wonder whether to try and War3 or just go spend time with tha fam. I have about an hour or so before Bedtime, and we'll see what becomes of it.
Cya.

Well, fortune has smiled. Annie is doing very well, the rash, yeast or not, has seemed to be gone for the time being. Also, her thrush seems to have faded to the point of non-existence as well. I'm very happy about this and hope all is well. G'night.

I can't possibly describe how infuriated this story makes me. Goddamn, I thought I had seen/heard it all. From the censoring of music, movies (any good R-rated horror movies out there? Didn't think so), technology, clothes, ideas, and now we have to watch out for everybody who might report us for ANYTHING. What The FUCK. $#^!@#$@!#%
Who knows how I passed this up on Jim's blog, but damn, I'm so angry right now. I'm gonna go fume and code. Peace.

Man, Jimmy updating all the time. Who'da thunk it? I'm glad for it, however, and hope it continues. Nice to hear insight from a guy who...well, has a lot of insight :) Last night I rambled on in his comments section and seemed to've done such a fine job of freaking out anyone reading it that it caused a comment-stoppage of the highest order. What can I say, I was emotional at that point.
Went to Best Buy last Sunday and picked up three albums, two of which I highly highly recommend (the third I haven't listened to yet).
The first is the brilliant Red Hot Chili Peppers album By The Way. Oh my God, if there is a best of 2002 list, this will be on it. I haven't even finished it yet (got about 4 songs to go--over 68 min of music!) and I can tell you this record will be spending a LOT of time in my CD player. Oh man, the way these guys have grown lyrically, musically, even harmoniously (if you can imagine such a thing), it's amazing. Undoubtedly the first "Must Have" 2002 record. Granted, Weezer and Elvis Costello's new records were damn good stuff, but RHCP has set a new standard.
Also got to listen to the new Our Lady Peace record, Gravity. This record is basically their "Relationship and Hard Rock" record that they had yet to make. Sure Clumsy is their "emotionally estranged" record, the follow-up Happiness...Is Not A Fish You Can Catch is their pop venture, and their last Spiritual Machines was a really fantastic concept album. But this record was produced by Bob "Metallica Black Album" Rock and it shows. Almost every song has to do with relationships, walks the unbelievably fine line of non-pretensiousness, and has a layered but loose feel that works well for the band. I'm grateful that there is only one unlistenable on the record ("Bring Back The Sun" - what the fuck were you guys thinking?) as it stands right now (sometimes unlistenables become pop hits and/or my faves -- for example, at first listen I though Smashing Pumpkins' "1979" was one of the worst songs on Mellon Collie--but I've sinced changed my mind of course), though multiple listens always change records. Sometimes the ones you fall in love with immediately lose their luster and you find that beneath the candy shell of the work there is no filling, only fluff, and it's a sad sight to see.
Didn't get to Craft last night, felt tired and down and finally just made my way to bed where I woke up refreshed this morning. I know its corny, but damn, its the first time in a LONG time I can remember waking up and feeling RESTED. This was a Good Thing.
Welp, more php. Things are going along at a snail's pace (as usual) but slowly but surely everything is coming together.
Adios.

Okay, okay. So it's late. But damn, I must say, War3 is pretty damn impressive. Though I'm a bit chunkolicious at this puter, it's not that bad and I still am enjoying the hell out of it. Like Starcraft? Sure. but damn, I must say I am a fan already and can see many hours going into its details. Hopefully I'll get an online match of some sort tomorrow. Sounds fun. Also got to talk to my chums today, Jim & Jeremy. It's nice to know that yes, beyond the blogs, they are very much the guys I remember and can still cut up with. Not a lot of real human interaction within a blog/website. Messages, posts, comments, sure. But the phone has yet to be topped. Anyway, I'm glad.
Night.
