Bob had bitch tits.

My brother in law, Sean (yes, he too goes by a different name, just like myself...a lot of people still call him Scotty, but I'll call him what he wants to be called), bought a new house. And wow, what a house! Two story, nice neighborhood, the only thing it lacks are some dogs--wait, he has those too!

Though, for the time being he's without cable, so he watches movies, and you can't really argue with Fight Club. A modern classic, if there ever was one.

In the meantime, we were planning on seeing Troy, a flick I've read mixed emotions on. However, cash flow problems, partly caused by the Sweet New Pimpride, has caused a damper in those plans.

Damper sucks. Here is me, asking for a damper-less week, thanks.

Otherwise, it's been a strange week. The mood of the house is light-to-moderate weirdness, with a forecast of boredom.

I wish I had something more interesting to talk about, but alas, I do not.

Bloggingheit 911

Oh man, Michael Moore has done it again! Wow this is incredible stuff.

Click here to watch the trailer for Fahrenheit 9/11

Prepare to be enthralled. Excellence, redefined!

Recognizable

Wow, this is cool :) Over at DIY Games they posted a little blurb about my starchamber.net articles.

I dug it, anyway.

Interfacing

Just a little brain food for those looking to read some neat stuff.

One, I'm working on getting a handle on CSS, your layout friends and mine. Except its all embedded in stylesheets and has a bunch of painful constructs that you have to somehow make sense of and examples on even fantastic, wonderful sites such as A List Apart are fucking awful.

So with that in mind, let's throw some more angst to the wind. One, web spec documentation is ass. Two, Linux docs, particularly of the printing variety, are even worse. On that note, Free Software usability sucks shit as well.

Blah.

Time Sink

I have a new deckbuilding article up on starchamber.net which, for all intents and purposes, took about 3 years to complete. Formatting that beast was a nightmare, but it did give me a nice layout to use for future endeavors. That decklist alone makes me want to cry when I realize I probably spent 60+ minutes on it.

Oh yeah, this is fucking insane. Nice work there.

Here's a juicy quote:

"Ramirez, who had her tubes tied to prevent additional pregnancies, says she would never recommend her desperate action to other women.

"It was very painful, and people could die," she said."
"

Well, no shit.

Memory Wipe

Possible bug in Sly Cooper: If you leave the system on pause too long, when you come back to the game Sly runs in circles and won't stop. You can hit the Pause but no menu comes up. When you finally switch the system off and back on, it's evidently a crapshoot as to whether your memory card data will be there, and we were on the negatory side last night.

So after working through 50% of the game (yes, there's a little gauge as you find/complete stuff) we had to begin again.

Luckily since we've spent so much time with it already, it only took us about 3 hours or more to do what had originally taken twice as long.

Sign of a really great game: When you don't mind doing all of it again.

Believe it or not this post is still in support of this game. Now, go play it already.

The Zone of Death

Woohoo! One of the best TV Shows evah is coming back this Sunday. That's right, I'm talking about The Dead Zone. To watch it is to love it.

I can't wait to be sucked into that crazy world all over again. For those who haven't seen it, trust me, it's some quality shite.

Aftermath

Oh, car buying is fun, isn't it? When the dust settles and you look at your new vehicle, and, God willing, you don't cringe yourself to death over it.

Me? I'm very happy with my purchase. It's nice to have a great vehicle and be proud of something. But it's the cash that always tells the tale.

As of right now, the family is on Spendature Lockdown to payback debts and all things owed. I've got a few hackeneyed, very bad ideas (to some) in motion, and we'll see where they end up, and how they effect the Erwins at large.

I hate being so damn vague, but when it comes to cash, what else can you be?

On a brighter, happier, and cheaper note, Sly Cooper and the Thevious Raccoonus for the PS2 is the most original, fun, and tantalizing platformer I've ever seen. It makes Crash Bandicoot look downright plain in comparison. There is so much character in this game, it's incredible. Me and my wife are really enjoying it, and note that the spouse was included in that phrase, because it appeals to just about everyone.

Give it a rental. With a little effort you can play almost all of it in a week, though me and Ericka love to hunt down all the cool secret stuff, so it might take a second rental to really get it out of our system.

With that said, this gets me highly excited.

It's got a weird title, but I assure you won't have more fun with a platformer, if that's your thing.
