The Vacation Update
My God, you leave a blog alone for a few weeks and it's like the world is ending.
Well, honestly, this blog needs a little attention. This is that whole "First Step" of that process. I've been doing a lot of those lately. I'm slowly integrating a healthier lifestyle this same way. Bit by bit, step by step.
Anyway: We went on vacation for a week in Myrtle Beach, SC, the first time the family has ever went on a vacation together.
I'd post pictures, but Ecto is a piece of shit. Apparently "Import from iPhoto" doesn't actually, you know, import from iPhoto. I really don't understand why people are so happy about this blogging tool. There are NO good blogging tools for the mac. Seriously. This is pathetic.
You know what I loved? Windows Live Writer. Now there was a good piece of software. Unfortunately the new blogger beta broke the hell out of it. I haven't tried getting it to work in awhile, I might as well go frustrate myself. Not that it still doesn't make it incredibly difficult to get pictures in it, as now I'll have to copy the pictures into the Windows installation, THEN drag + drop them into Live Writer.
And people wonder why I don't post. Because it's a pain in the ass on the mac. Sigh.

I can help you get WLW set up on New Blogger--there's some missing metadata on your blog so Writer can't autodetect it, but there is a workaround.

Hi Joe, thanks for replying. I'd love to know that workaround, but I can't find your contact info anywhere, and I don't see one on the Live Writer blog. :(
