Family Matters, Week of 9-3-06
Every week I write about my family. Welcome to it.
So I'm back and I've got bad news on top of my other not so awesome news from yesterday: The family is sick.
A few days ago, Abby was running a temperature and being extremely whiney as kids are wont to do with fevers. Parents are nodding their heads right now.
The following day Ericka gets full-blown sickness while I head off to the doctor.
Yesterday Annie begins feeling bad and by this morning she's at 101.9.
Ah, yes. Fall. I remember this time of year. Summer ends, sickness begins.
Winter will be here before you know it. And you know all the fun--er--awesome sickness that brings.
At this point I'm taking horse pills of antibiotics and am trying to stay as unsick as possible.
But the raw feeling in the back of my throat is unmistakeable.
Hey, maybe I should get drunk. The alcohol kills the bad stuff in your throat, right? Yeah?
To speak of more positive things, Annie did a great job cheering for those Claxton Blue Devils (record for the season: 0-4 and loving it), and best of all my family got to show up for it. Well, my mother and father at least. Afterwards they took Annie to Libby Lu for make-up and and dress-up time.
Aren't those pictures just fantastic? My little girl, quite the diva.
So until next week, I'm nursing my babies and hoping they get better soon.
As for me, I'm getting some rest.
