Vlogging: The Wave of the Future
No, seriously, video on the internet is the most revolutionary thing happening right now.
Why? Because I’m getting more entertainment on a daily basis from Ze Frank than just about anywhere else right now.
That guy is frickin brilliant. You can thank me later.
Sure, Rocketboom was there first, and it certainly doesn’t produce bad segments by any means, but what I’m discussing is the future here. What media you want to create and how to promote it.
Blogs are going to begin declining in word count and upping their video portions. I’d much rather hear Scoble speak than read his words, no matter how well put together they are.
Honestly, I’d rather not have you hear my words because with the written word I can adjust and edit and redo and all of those things require vast amounts of time in video editing as compared to a simple Backspace key.
To further my point, not only are YouTube and Revver changing how we think about what the internet can provide for free, and how we can utilize it, it’s great to see how amateurs are doing what was normally taboo—almost Hollywood (okay, B-movie Hollywood) productions that are truly extraordinary.
See FlushTV.
See Ask a Ninja.
See The Future. Or just read about it.
Until tomorrow.
They'll name a city after us
And later say it's all our fault
