Sweet Political Irony

Oh, this is rich folks. 

First of all, I think this is silly. But in its silliness is irony. And I loves me some irony.

So let’s take this Average American Family:

Now astute readers will notice that this is the family photo of Bob Corker.

Well, a funny thing happened on the way to a college diploma…

Now the Corker daughter in question is the on the left above, what I’ll simply dub ‘the hot one.’ (calling Spades Spades here, and all)

Now the fact that she is kissing a girl is nothing shy of intoxicating, but considering Bob Corker’s campaign slogan is Conservative Principles Positive Results…

Well, I’d call those results in the picture above…positive, wouldn’t you?

Oh, and just so we don’t forget, take a look at this number:

And yes, those are panties and yes that is not Mr. Corker’s daughter in said panties.

If you bothered to look, you’ll note that she is behind the panty-clad girl with the large breasts.

Okay, so you know the story: Republican Senator’s Daughter Gets Kissy and Funky With Women. Me? I like it. Conservatives? Well, that’s a little closet to the Lesbo Line, a line you Shalt Dare Not Cross lest you would like to lose an election.

Let’s take some reaction, shall we?

First, I gotta give Wonkette some love for breaking the story.

VoluntarilyConservative calls the pictures “disappointing” and says his daughter showed “poor judgement.” (You saw the lip lock picture, right? Is there a single thing disappointing in that picture?)

Bob Krumm calls it political filth (filth!). If this filth is wrong, then I don’t want to be right.

MooreThoughts has plenty of discussion, bashing the Democrats for serving it up Republican-style. Oh, and here’s a line that will make you laugh out loud: “There are folks on the left who beat up Karl Rove on a regular basis, for reasons I cannot fathom.”

Oh my god, I have to stop and laugh for a moment.

Hahahaha.

Ahem.

Honestly, I don’t see what the big deal is. How is Wonkette helping the Democrats again?

Why do I care which side is helping whom again? Let me put this as simple as I can:

If your vote for a Tennessee Senator is swayed by a photo of his daughter kissing another female then I don’t give a shit about your vote. Period.

Hell, it didn’t stop Cheney from becoming Vice President with his lesbian daughter, now did it? Remember the hoopla when someone mentioned this fact and suddenly they were crossing the line and how dare they. Yawn.

And just so we put the hypocrisy on Code Level Orange-Red-Hue, here is that same MooreThoughts guy bashing a Democrat campaign worker for having a few scandidly clad pictures of her on a website.

A website that has since removed those pictures. Damn. But somehow, campaign workers are okay. Family members not okay. Ex-family members who are now campaign workers…well, you’ll have to fill out a form for that one.

And in the end, I will once again live blissfully ignorant of all of this political BS.
