Family Matters: Week of 12-18-05
Each week I do a family rundown. Welcome to it. (And, yes, it’s a day late.)
Annie
Annie’s pre-Christmas song consists of this little rendition:
You better not pout
You better not cry
and you better be nice and not hurt my sister or
Santa Claus will give you a bag of switches and a box of rocks!
You really need to hear a 3 year old start yammering about being good to her sister and so on and so forth.
Another favorite moment: Annie shaking a small box and saying confidently “I think it’s a doodle bear.”
Abby
Abby is very very sensitive these days. She’s been sickly as of late, and we’re trying to nurse her back to health before Xmas hits her over the head. Holidays with sick kids == no fun. Christmas with sick kids == the worst ever. Meh.
We have administered Tylenol and hoped for the best.
Ericka (her blog)
My loving wife and I have been spending large amounts of cash on one another and last night I finally (finally) finished christmas shopping. My haul was like, oh, 5–6 presents, but Ericka’s was like two dozen when you think about having to shop for me, the kids, her parents, my parents…did I mention I love this woman? It’s really, really nice to not have to worry about who’s buying what for whom. I buy good stuff for her, she takes care of the rest. And there ain’t nothing wrong with that.
Etc.
Meh. Rushed and hurried. That’s all I got for you today. Join me tomorrow later today when we revisit an old timeless animated character, newly debaucherized for today’s Modern Child Who Digs Trademarked Things.

I see you've not deigned to give us an excuse for the tardiness of today's lesson.
