Writeboard Review
I gotta hand it to 37Signals, who are simply geniuses at simplification. Writeboard is a simply stellar application and a true example of Style over Substance. As Brian is wont to express, sometimes it’s best to leave out those ridiculously narrow features that people don’t use.
Writeboard let me collaborate very well with my most recent Turn 6 article for Star Chamber. I created one in just a minute, pasted what I had, edited it a bit, then sent off the URL and password to the powers that be. They edited it themselves, sent along some email feedback, and the process continued until the article that debuts tomorrow afternoon is released.
Did I mention it’s free? Yes, free as in there-ain’t-no-such-thing, free as in Buy One Get One, and free as in 37Signals has earned my love and respect. I tried to dabble a bit into BackPack but I think I’m going to instead dive head-first into BaseCamp and try to convert my current projects over to it. It’s the beauty of collaboration + simplicity that makes these guys rock.
Call this post a love letter, but I’m telling you for the time, money (hah!), and features, Writeboard is a winner. Need collaboration? You know where to turn.
Stop and get me on the ride up
I’m only goin to the top of the hill

I always preferred substance to style.
